A catch-all functionality that is activated for a particular mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled email address under the exact same domain, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you run a business, for example. Since you may begin receiving spam messages, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filters so as to receive only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Hosting
If you’ve got a Linux hosting with our company and you wish to enable the catch-all option for a specific e-mailbox that you’ve got in your hosting account, it will take literally only one single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have set up under any domain name hosted in your account. You can select one single email address per domain by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature immediately, so all messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be received there. Clicking the button once again will deactivate the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will show a warning message and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you delete the forwarding or you can simply select another mailbox to be the catch-all one.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The catch-all functionality can be enabled without any difficulty in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll find a small-size symbol handily situated directly next to each of them. With only a single mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the menu that will appear. In case any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will notify you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
