Introduced in 2001, the .NAME TLD is the only one planned for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to book john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our firm, you can secure your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to update the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no particular stipulations on who can purchase a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the idea behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
